Caroline Daly

Caroline paints mainly in oils. Her landscapes and seascapes are formed by her emotional response to the scene, in particular the light, movement of clouds, trees and water. Although a Kent based artist, Caroline grew up in Northumberland.

Caroline is drawn to the coast and she will often sketch or paint whenever there. Over the last year or so, Caroline has created a series of paintings from places that she has visited; notably Northumberland, The Isles of Scilly, St Ives, Catalonia, Spain and more locally, Camber Sands and Rye.

Caroline’s still life paintings explore the interplay of composition and light as well as texture and geometry.
Caroline studied History of Art at School and at University alongside her Hispanic Studies Degree. Caroline lived and worked in Madrid before becoming a Solicitor in the UK. Since leaving the legal profession and whilst raising her family she has continued to paint. Caroline started showing her works at galleries, exhibitions and fairs in 2023.
